Sunday School Classes at Emanuel

9:15-10:15 a.m. every Sunday
Classes do not meet during the summer months (Memorial Weekend through Labor Day weekend).

Emanuel offers Sunday School classes for all age groups. The Our Life in Christ lessons emphasize the Gospel—the Good News about Christ—at each and every grade level! Our Life in Christ is anchored on the Bible, God's Word. Our Life in Christ Sunday school curriculum prepares students for everyday life by helping them to connect the Bible to their life experiences.

The High School Sunday School program provides opportunities for teens to grow in their faith and spirituality using a three-part curriculum:

Personal Faith: Teens choose Bible studies that interest them. The 2005-2006 studies deal with current teen issues and is led by Michelle Trzynka with Lindsey Jones assisting in the discussion.

Community Faith Sharing/Witnessing: Hands-on servant experiences are scheduled once each month or so. These include trips to the Lutheran Home, charity events, homeless shelters, and more. The events are organized by Allyson Bender and Andy David.

Leadership Development: High school members organize and lead monthly devotions, skits, or Bible games for the children in grades 4-7.

The three-part program provides teens with the opportunity to develop spiritually on a personal level. Then we take it one step further by allowing the youth to practice leadship and organizational skills in order to put that faith into action within our church and our community.

All high school age teens are welcome! If you have any questions, please contact Mary Jones or call the church office, 749-2163.
